I just read you had some interesting discussions about pronouncing B and V and I have had many when I started learning Spanish. I soon learned to say V as B, although lots of British people seem keen to keep using the V sound for V and sometimes they can't understand what you say if you pronounce it correctly with a B for the V. What I find very strange though is that many Spanish speakers sound like they are making a V sound not a B but if you tell them they will disagree. This even happened with my Spanish teacher Carlos in Cardiff. Sometimes he would say a word starting with V and it would sound like a V but telling us to pronounce it as B. To complicate things more I have found that some Spanish names for herbs and plants can be wriiten with a V or a B in the spelling eg Orobal or Oroval, and Balo or Valo. Thanks Ruth, Actually I keep it along with some few friends, though I'm more concentrated in the official site I come as often as possible :). This site was built also to give "extra" files to the vip members(cd buyers) as well as contests.
